Remove two-step authentication

Don’t have your backup code and still can’t complete two-step authentication? Follow these steps to remove two-step authentication from your account.

If you’re the account owner:

  1. Submit an account recovery form. Provide detailed information to confirm your identity for security purposes.
  2. Stripe confirms your identity and removes two-step authentication from your account.
  3. Sign in using your email address and password.

If you’re not the account owner:

  1. The account’s primary owner or administrator resets your account’s two-step authentication on the Team and security page.
  2. You receive an email with a link to regain access to your account.
  3. Sign in using your email address and password.
